largest department located in the ministry of magic, the department of magical law enforcement. this department houses everything from auror headquarters, improper use of magic offices, misuse of muggle artifacts offices, wizengamont administration offices, and the office for the detection and confiscation of counterfeit defensive spells and protective objects.

when there are magical accidents this department has everything one needs to fix what has happened. the department of magical accidents and catastrophes. it houses the offices of the accidental magic reversal squad, muggle-worthy excuse committee, and obliviator headquarters. this is one area most try to avoid having to deal with.

second largest department in the ministry is the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures. a few offices included on this level are goblin liaison office, pest advisory bureau, beast divisions, spirt divisions, and being divisions.

this department tries to get wizards from different countries to cooperate with each other in both the political and public area. the department of internation magical cooperations houses the international magical office of law, international magical trading standards body, and the international confederation of wizards.

the department responsible for all types of magical transportation is the department of magical transportation. on this floor many offices are located such as the broom regulatory control, floo network authority, apparation test centre, and the portkey office. this is a very important office of the ministry as it makes sure witches and wizards do not lose pieces of themselves in different areas.

one of the most relaxed offices here at the ministy, the department of magical games and sports. they are responsible for organizing events such as the triwizard tournament and the quidditch world cup. offices located here often have pictures of quidditch teams hung around the walls. located here is the offical gobstones club, ludicrous patents office, and the british and irish quidditch league headquarters.

the atrium is located on level eight it acts as the lobby and reception room for all those who enter. there are many guilded fireplaces located here on the left arrivals and on the right departures at the far end of the hall is where the security desk, ministry munchies cafe, and a set of double golden gates are located. through these gates access is gained to all the access lifts needed to get people to and from different departments. off from this room is the security office where spare keys are kept and lift information is stored.

the most mysterious of all the departments located at the ministry, the department of mysteries. very few people actually knows what goes on in there and those who work in this department are referred to as unspeakables because they are not allowed to talk about their work. the known offices in this department are the hall of prophecy, brain room, death chamber, space chamber, time chamber, and the love chamber.
